Who we are

Veranda is property management software, developed and run by ZANi Systems (zanisystems.com). This notice explains how we handle the personal information you send us through verandadesk.com, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

When you ask for demo access, we collect what you type into the form: your name, agency name, email address, phone number, the size of your rental book, the system you use today, the modules you're interested in and any message you add. We also record the date and time, and the country your request came from.

Why we use it

• To reply to your request and set up your demo.
• To send you information you asked for, such as a quote.

We don't sell your information, and we don't add you to marketing lists without asking.

Who can see it

Only the Veranda team. The site runs on Cloudflare, which hosts the site, protects it from spam and attacks, and delivers our email. Cloudflare acts as our operator and only processes your information to provide these services.

How long we keep it

We keep demo requests for up to 12 months, unless you become a client. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.

Cookies and analytics

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits, which works without cookies. The security check on our form (Cloudflare Turnstile) may set a short-lived cookie to tell people apart from bots.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email us at hi@verandadesk.com. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
